Moxie Lady joins beer blogging team

The NorCal Beer Geeks are happy to welcome Jess ‘Moxie Lady’ Vallery to our team of beer bloggers. Jess has a great amount of experience and we’re excited that she will be sharing her insight and knowledge through this blog on a regular basis.

Jess is an avid foodie, craft beer & travel lover, photographer, and wine professional trying to enjoy life one brewery at a time. Jess has been a beer lover many years and recently has developed a huge passion for beer travel and the community that goes along with traveling to craft breweries. Jess has traveled to 458 unique breweries throughout the U.S. Her passion for food and wine pairings has helped her develop recipes around craft beer while sipping on some rare and mainly local beers purchased through her travels.

Jess is addicted to soups and comfort foods, but has a passion for healthy, low carb, and whole30 style foods so while these tasty beers have calories, some of her recipes are mostly healthy, but with a touch of indulgence for good measure. Her experience in travel coupled with her love of food and craft beer make her recipes the perfect resource for those looking to shake things up a bit. Jess is a freelance writer for the Press Democrat’s SonomaMag.com, Steppin’ Out Magazine, other local publications and various websites. She created the blog, Moxie Lady to craft stories about local businesses both in the bay area and those she finds during her travels, promoting the love of craft beer, food, wine, and lifestyle.

Jess is the director of consumer sales and marketing manager at Trione Vineyards in Geyserville. She has been in the wine industry for 16 years and studied in the Court of masters Sommelier program. She has been involved in local service groups and chamber of commerce, serving as President for two years. Jess lives in Windsor with her husband, chef/owner of Peloton Culinary & Catering, their two boys, and Mosi the Aussie. She loves to cook, create healthy recipes, travel for food & craft beer, and write about her discoveries.

We look forward to following the Moxie Lady while on her beer travels and can’t wait to try some of the delicious recipes that she will share with us.cropped-281[1]
